We're almost done with the tattoo when a loud commotion outside causes Drew to glance up from the detail work. My stomach sinks, my heart pulsing in my chest.

"You can't go back there!" Amber yells at someone, her lilting voice full of frustration.

"The hell I can't," Dane snarls, sounding for all the world like a pissed off lion.

Before I can warn Drew or even open my mouth, the door to the room flies open, slamming against the wall. Trick and Dane fill the doorway, blocking out the rest of the shop.

Dane's eyes lock on me, his expression livid. It takes him all of two seconds to assess the situation. He doesn't miss the fact that I'm shirtless, with the cup of my bra pulled down so low it almost exposes my nipple. Or the fact that Drew has one hand on my chest, a tattoo gun in the other.

Dane's green eyes darken, a storm brewing in them.

"Hi," I whisper, hoping to forestall him.

It doesn't work.

"You snuck out to get a tattoo. It took me two hours to track your infuriating little ass down, princess." He glances at Drew. Not even his beard hides the way his lips curl with rage. A savage growl erupts from his lips.

"You know him?" Drew asks, glancing at me.

"He's my husband."

"Ah." Drew places a piece of gauze over the tattoo and turns the tattoo gun off before setting it on the sterile paper on the tray next to him. He rises to his feet, taking a step away from me. I don't think he's afraid of Dane, but I don't think he wants to fight either. He seems almost…amused. "I'll give you two a minute then."

Dane blocks the entrance to the door for a long moment before stepping aside to let Drew out. As soon as he's out of the room, Dane stomps toward me. I notice Trick grabbing Sophie around the waist and hauling her out. The door closes, and then Dane is beside me, looming like a hot, angry devil.

"I'm so pissed right now I could throttle you, baby," he says, his voice deathly quiet.

"I'm not sorry," I whisper, refusing to lie to him. "I knew you wouldn't let me come if I told you what I was doing. This was important to me."

"I can see that."

"Drew tattooed my dad and Grant, but then he moved here. That's why Sophie and I came to Vegas. So he could be the one to tattoo me too."

Dane pinches the bridge of his nose and inhales deeply.

"Please don't be mad."

"I was worried out of my fucking mind, Sienna," he says, tipping his chin toward his chest to glare at me. "You can't just go running off all over Vegas by yourself. It's not safe."

I start to tell him that Sophie was with me but decide that probably won't help calm him down any. "I'm sorry I worried you. I didn't want you to tell me no. Last time I brought up a tattoo, you and Grant had a fit.
